Two hundred and fifty horses and about 1,500 soldiers and officers were at Horse Guards Parade in London on Thursday for the Brigade Major's Review.

It was the final rehearsal for Trooping the Colour before it will be performed in public for the Queen's Birthday Parade.

The event on 2 June will also mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
