Gurkha recruits take on their most challenging test yet

This year's Gurkha recruits are eight months into their training to become fully-fledged members of the Brigade of Gurkhas.

Forces News caught up with the men in Otterburn, where the trainees are facing their most arduous challenge to date.

The recruits must complete nine exercises as part of their infantry training.

Their latest challenge is called Defence Ex.

The recruits have to build a position and defend it while dealing with sleep deprivation and physical exhaustion.

In the video above, Forces News followed the Gurkha warriors in the making, nearing the end of what has been nine months of arduous infantry training.
