The Defence Secretary has reassured Royal Marines in Scotland that their future is secure.
Sir Michael Fallon spent time with 45 Commando as they prepare for their lead role in NATO's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force next year.
He looked on as marines practised the tactics and manoeuvres that could keep them alive, while demonstrating their combat skills.
