Bombs away: F-35B Lightnings aboard HMS Prince of Wales strike in the Indo-Pacific
The latest phase of the eight-month Indo-Pacific mission saw F-35B Lightning jets from HMS Prince of Wales drop Paveway IV bombs as the lead carrier makes her return journey to Europe.
The lead ship of the Carrier Strike Group (CSG), now back in the Mediterranean, is carrying 24 of the state-of-the-art fighter jets – the largest number ever deployed on a Royal Navy aircraft carrier.
Operating once again under the Nato banner, the CSG is preparing for Exercise Falcon Strike, where the carrier's aircraft will operate alongside allied forces from Italy, the United States, and Greece.
In our video above, BFBS Forces News details the latest operation for the CSG, and what comes next.
