Airman Stationed At RAF Mildenhall Dies In Traffic Collision

Police are investigating after an airman stationed at RAF Mildenhall died in a traffic collision.
It took place on the B1112 between Eriswell and Lakenheath Village, with Suffolk Constabulary currently investigating.
In a statement on its Facebook page, RAF Mildenhall said it will release more information as it becomes available, adding:
"Please remember to always leave extra time in your schedule when commuting in this area, and always drive safely."
The base is a Royal Air Force station near Mildenhall in Suffolk, which primarily supports United States Air Force operations and is currently the home of the 100th Air Refueling Wing (100 ARW).
The US Department of Defense announced earlier this year that operations at RAF Mildenhall would end and be relocated to Germany or elsewhere within the UK.
The British Ministry of Defence then announced that the site will be sold.
