Barbara Windsor: "Anyone Who Doesn't Wear A Poppy Can Sod Off"

EastEnders legend Barbara Windsor yesterday blasted those people who refuse to wear a Remembrance Day poppy.

"They can go and sod off for all I care," Windsor told Sky News, when asked what she would say to those who do not want to wear the poppy in memory of fallen service personnel.

The 78-year-old - best known for her role as Peggy Mitchell - said it was vital Britain recognised the Armed Forces as "what would we do without them looking after us?"

She is a high-profile supporter of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.

The charity is hoping to raise at least £1 million in a single day on Thursday when servicemen and women sell poppies at stations across the country.
