When Lady MacRoberts lost her three sons in flying accidents before and during the Second World War, she dedicated the rest of her life to keeping their memory alive.
The MacRoberts family home was set up as a place where military families could stay and enjoy the countryside.
Douneside House deep in the Aberdeenshire countryside, is currently undergoing a five million pound revamp.
