Bletchley Park Competition To Find The Next Cyber Defence Experts

A team of young computer enthusiasts from Gibraltar have won a competition looking to find the next generation of cyber defence experts.

The team, called G-Sec, of seven tech wizards aged 17-21, won the CyberCenturion competition at the National Museum of Computing, at the world-famous Bletchley Park.

They beat six other teams to take the win and admitted it was a hard-fought victory but said they grabbed the opportunity “with open arms”.

Organisers say they are trying to plug a computing skills gap while also hoping to uncover those who, in the future, could help defend the country against potentially lethal hackers.
