British Troops Take Part In Major Counter-Terrorism Exercise

British troops based in Cyprus have taken part in a major counter-terrorism exercise led by the island's police.
 
The scenario involved a mock attack by seven gunmen on a waterpark near Protaras.
 
Troops from the Second Battalion, The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, based at Dhekelia Garrison, played the part of some of the victims.
 
Police from the Sovereign Bases were also involved, practising cross-border cooperation between the Cypriot and SBA police forces.
