"Businesses Need More Notice Before Reservists Are Deployed"

Some Welsh businesses are calling on the military to give them more notice when reservist employees are deployed.

The most senior Army officer in Wales has told Forces TV that the army can’t always come first when Reservists hold down a civilian job.

Brigadier Martin Gamble was speaking at the Welsh Armed Forces Awards last night in Cardiff.

Brigadier Martin Gamble, Commander of the 160th Infantry Brigade said:
"The use of reservists is all about understanding the ask and making sure that we the Armed Forces communicate that effectively."
"We've been guilty of the past in confusion, our narrative is much clearer now, and the ask and dependency on reservists is much clearer."
