Campaign For Fair Treatment Of Personnel With Terminal Cancer

A campaign is underway to ensure servicemen and women affected by a terminal form of cancer, almost always caused by exposure to asbestos, are compensated in the same way as civilians.

Mesothelioma can take decades to materialise, but causes most sufferers to die within two years once diagnosed.

The government set up a compensation scheme for suffers in 2014, but it doesn't apply to military personnel because of the way war pensions work.
