The Challenges Of Commanding A Tiny Island

Ascension Island is one of the most remote postings in the world, sitting hundreds of miles from any other land mass in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.  
 
It's a logistical hub at the heart of the South Atlantic air bridge and for the past three years the base has been under the command of one man.  
 
Wing Commander Mark Taylor is leaving office this week, but before his departure, he spoke to Carla Prater about what it’s been like being in charge.
