Edinburgh's Garden Of Peace Honours Wilfred Owen
A garden of remembrance has been created in honour of war poet Wilfred Owen.
Owen stayed at Edinburgh's pioneering Craiglockhart War Hospital a century ago when he was recovering from shell shock.
The 'One Hundred Years of Remembrance Garden' is the brainchild of military charity Glen Art and was unveiled at a Gardening Scotland event at the Royal Highland Centre.
Created by veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder, it features a specially commissioned bust of Owen, donated by the Wilfred Owen Association.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission, meanwhile, contributed a statue of the sailor and a bench to commemorate the 1.7million Commonwealth men and women who lost their lives during both World Wars.
