Ex Navy SEAL Shatters World Wingsuit Record

A former Navy SEAL left other contenders stranded in his wake when he smashed the world record for the furthest absolute distance flown in a wingsuit - a staggering 18.26-mile flight.
Andy Stumpf, from San Diego California, had to travel to the troposphere and endure temperature swings of 65 degrees centigrade as he flew back down to earth.
“At some point in time in everyone’s life, you need to find something that you are willing to fight for,” Stumpf says in the video.
If you’re willing to fight for it, that means you’re probably willing to die. And that doesn’t end when you get out of the military. I still have the same moral callings and desire to do something, and this jump is just an extension of that. I can’t go overseas anymore and do it myself, but that doesn’t mean people aren’t. I’ll risk my life to support those guys because it is the absolute least I can do.”
