Flight MH17 "Brought Down By Russian-Made Missile"

A Dutch investigation into the crash of a Malaysia Airlines jet in eastern Ukraine last July has concluded that the Boeing Triple-7 was brought down by a Russian-made missile.

All 298 people travelling on flight MH17 were killed.

The conclusions do not suggest who may have fired the warhead.

The Defence Secretary Michael Fallon told Forces TV the report comes as no surprise.

The plane was flying on a usual route that had earlier been declared safe by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

The International Air Transportation Association said the airspace it had been crossing was not subject to any restrictions.
