Global Strike Command's 'Show Of Force'
The United States Air Force has demonstrated its airpower in its Pacific Command Area.
The USAF's Global Strike Command flew all three of its strategic bomber command aircraft, the B-2 Spirit, B-1 Lancer, and the B-52 Stratofortress, together for the first time ever, from a base on Guam.
The flight came as the B-1s and B-2s arrived at Andersen Air Force Base on Guam to relieve the B52s.
The bombers are based there as part of Operation Continuous Bomber Presence.
After they had flown over the base the planes dispersed and conducted operations in the South China Sea and Northeast Asia.
America is boosting its military presence in the region following China's increasingly assertive stance toward its neighbours in the South China Sea.
