Instructor To Be Tried After British Soldier's Death In Cyprus

A trial date has been set in Cyprus following the drowning of a soldier during an adventure training exercise. 
 
Private Jamie Sawyer died in March last year.
 
Civilian instructor David Hughes has been extradited from Slovakia, where he travelled soon after the incident.
 
He's standing trial in Cyprus, accused of causing death by gross negligence.
