Killer Robot Or Battlefield Canine Companion?

Defence is all about keeping one step ahead when it comes to technology but in the case of 'Spot the Robot Quadruped', it's four!

It has been developed in the US by Boston Dynamics, and is now undergoing field testing at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia.

Researchers walked Spot through different terrains to see how the robot coped with the obstacles.
