The Muscle-Bound Norwegian Navy Officer Driving The Internet Wild

So just what is it that has made this Norwegian Navy officer such an internet hit?

6’6” Lasse Matberg has amassed an army of fans – more than 100,000 followers on Instagram.

He may have missed a haircut or two, and he clearly doesn’t own a razor, but that hasn’t stopped him posing in uniform. Or without.

30-year-old Lasse has been compared to Thor and Legolas, and has received a number of offers of marriage, and, er, companionship.

But just in case we’re accused of objectifying Lasse on the basis of looks, we should point out that Thor – sorry - Lasse has a sensitive side.

As you can see from his photos, he is fond of puppies, and piglets.

He also comes in handy for turning those pesky Norwegian forests into firewood.

And who knows? He could be the Norwegian Navy’s secret weapon, when it comes to their next recruitment campaign.
