"No Change To Army Relations After Brexit" Says CGS

The head of the Army has insisted there is "no change to army to army relations" following the vote to leave the EU.

The chief of the general staff was addressing the annual Land Warfare Conference at The Royal United Services Institute.

In his keynote speech General Sir Nick Carter made a point of welcoming international delegates.

Throughout his time in post CGS has fought to modernise the army and institute reforms that call for wide-reaching international cooperation, he insists his reforms are not threatened.

However, following the referendum relationships in wider Europe are sure to change and that will effect defence.

EU Leaders and the NATO Secretary General are attending a European Council meeting in Brussels to discuss the implications of the UK’s decision.
