Poppy Appeal Launch Brings London To A Standstill
The Royal British Legion’s 2015 Poppy Appeal has officially been launched.
Military veterans delivered the first official poppy of this year's appeal to Prime Minister David Cameron at Downing Street this morning.
It followed a parade through London for soldiers, veterans and forces families.
Last year a record £41 million was raised to help provide thousands of veterans, servicemen, women and their families with vital advice and support.

The Royal British Legion has unearthed a trove of portraits taken between 1915 and 1916 to help launch this year's Poppy Appeal.
Taken at the world's oldest established photographic studio in the Sussex town of Lewes the glass negatives sat unseen for almost a century.
