"Reluctance To Act Overseas Could Encourage UK's Enemies"

The head of Britain's Armed Forces says parliament's reluctance to authorise military action overseas could encourage the country's enemies.
 
General Sir Nick Houghton told a leading international affairs think-tank that the country needs to move beyond the shadows of Iraq and Afghanistan.
 
The Chief of the Defence Staff added that a re-think is needed into the use of the the UK’s Armed Forces, bearing in mind the current global context.
