Rotors Revived: Old Helicopters, New Tricks

As the Royal Navy's Commando Force Sea Kings are decommissioned Forces TV has been finding out how old military equipment can be re-purposed.

Some things are simply put on show while others are used for 'glamping', mancaves and adventure centres.

Blackberrywood Camping Centre had wanted a learjet but that was too small so they converted an old Wessex into accommodation.
 
Some of the Sea Kings will be sold as working helicopters, with others broken up for parts.

Witham Special Vehicles expect to handle around 30 of the soon-to-be-decommissioned Sea Kings. 
 
Camillia Southerington, from the company, said:
"To actually see them have an alternative use is fantastic."
