Royal British Legion & Social Clubs Go Separate Ways Over Fees

Royal British Legion social clubs across the country are increasingly choosing to disaffiliate with the charity in a row of membership fees.
 
The most recent to split away is the club in Newton Aycliffe.
 
It's a move they make reluctantly but their secretary feels the alternative was to face closure.
 
In response the Royal British Legion stated:
 
“The changes have been made to improve our relationship with our members and to modernise our systems to support the Legion through the 21st Century.”
