SAS Vet Returns From Frontline Against IS And Shares Story
An SAS veteran has been to the frontline in Syria and Iraq to get an unique insight into the fight against Islamic State.
Phil Campion has filmed his experiences for a Sky News documentary 'Fighting IS : Big Phil's War'.
He observed their war against a well-equipped and motivated enemy and experienced some of the worst battles of his life while embedded with the Kurds.
Mr Campion expressed support for the Kurds and sharply criticised the outdated weapons they have to fight with.
"To say that these people need kit is an understatement," he said.
The video begins with Phil dealing with a jammed gun, exactly the type of problem Kurdish fighters may have to solve in the heat of battle.
