"UK Hampered By Not Having Women In Combat Roles"
A Norwegian general has told Forces TV that not having women in combat roles hampers British military operations.
Norway is to become the first NATO country to conscript women into the Armed Forces, with 5,000 young women having been invited to train as soldiers.
The nation's military will hope there won't be a repeat of earlier this year, when it made headlines for sternly reprimanding an officer for forcing a female soldier to bathe naked with 30 men.
The reprimand was later revoked following an appeal, with the military making clear that no formal rule changes to bathing would take place.
