WATCH: RAF Destroys Concealed Daesh Vehicle
The Ministry of Defence has released new footage of RAF airstrikes on Daesh.
In the first video, Tornado aircraft on a reconnaissance mission use a Brimstone missile to destroy an armed truck, despite efforts by Daesh to conceal it in a palm grove south of Fallujah, Iraq (see above).
In the second, filmed earlier this week, Tornados use a Paveway laser-guided bomb to destroy a Daesh weapons store in northern Iraq (see below).
They then flew south, to the Qayyarah region, to provide close air support to Iraqi forces engaged in a firefight with a group of extremists manning a fortified position.
Despite the close proximity of the friendly forces, precise strikes with two Paveways and two Brimstones helped destroy the targets.
