Westminster Abbey Service Celebrates 100 Years Of Blind Veterans UK

Almost 1,800 people have gathered at Westminster Abbey to mark the centenary of 'Blind Veterans UK'.

It's the national charity for blind and vision-impaired ex-service men and women - known as 'St Dunstans' until 2012.

Founded in 1915, its initial purpose was to help and support soldiers blinded in World War I.

But the organisation has since gone on to support more than 35,000 blind veterans and their families, from World War II to recent conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan.
