British Army boxer Niamh Brookes retains Three Nations title on home turf in Wales

British Army boxer Lance Corporal Niamh Brookes has retained her Three Nations title while representing Wales in Cardiff.
A classy performance saw LCpl Brookes beat England's number one seed Madi Gittens in the 52kg final by unanimous decision.
It means the REME soldier has won back-to-back Three Nations championships as she beat Dionne Manion by unanimous decision in 2024.

It's been an impressive few months for Brookes after she won the Welsh national championship in April and received a hero's welcome on her return to the Army boxing gym in Aldershot.
She told BFBS Forces News that a spot at the Olympic Games is a "long-term goal".
