Royal Logistic Corps win first trophy of Army cricket season

The Royal Logistic Corps have won the 2022 Inter Corps T20 competition in Aldershot.

A seven-wicket victory over the Adjutant General Corps meant the first Army cricket trophy of the 2022 season was decided.

A number of Army stars who are likely to appear at Lord's for the Inter Services took part including Urie Hill, Tade Carmichael and Denson Narayan.

The AGC were the first to bat but made a mess of their 20 overs at the crease.

RLC bowlers Hill and Narayan put them to the sword while Desmond Plummer took four wickets as the AGC were all out for just 82 runs.

It was a disappointing target to set for AGC and they knew a good fielding performance was needed to stand any chance of winning.

Alex Tuck was the opening batsman for RLC and he dominated with the bat throughout the match.

His 36 runs came off just 27 balls and alongside Narayan's haul of 25 runs off 26 balls, RLC reached their target with more than seven overs remaining.
