Football: 10-man UKAF battle to Luton Town draw

The UK Armed Forces men's football team have ended 2021 with a creditable draw against Luton Town's academy team.

Jake Gosling fired UKAF ahead in the second half from a penalty which he won himself, but a spot-kick up the other end from Luton's Conor Lawless levelled the score with five minutes to go.

A late red card to Mike Atkinson nearly spoiled UKAF's day but they held on to a good result.

The match was a replacement fixture for the military team after the 2021 Kentish Cup was called off.

It continued a string of impressive performances from UKAF after a 4-0 win over Loughborough University and a penalty shoot-out defeat to the Irish Defence Forces.
