Canadian competitor discusses Invictus Games delay frustration

A Canadian competitor has told Forces News about the difficulty his team faced with the two postponements of the Invictus Games The Hague.

Raymond Burke has waited a long time to compete in The Netherlands and spoke about the hardships the COVID-19 pandemic caused the competitors.

"I've been waiting like 30 months for this," said Burke.

"It was a little hard when the Games were postponed and other things were locked down in Canada.

"It was hard to keep the motivation up but we had a great team. Canada is a big country but we kept in communication online.

"We tried to keep each other going."
