Winning by one point: Navy and RAF play out exciting Inter Services netball clash

The Royal Navy have narrowly beaten the RAF in open netball Inter Services action at RAF Cosford.

The senior service were bruised by their loss to the Army on day one, so came out fighting against the hosts.

Taking an early lead in the first quarter, they managed to maintain a four-to-five goal advantage for the majority of the match.

However, the RAF weren’t taking that lying down and scrambled back to within two points in the closing stages of the game and were roared on by a loud home support.

Turnover after turnover led to an incredibly dramatic finish as the Navy played possession to hold out for a 42-41 win.
