Fijian power proves too much as UK Armed Forces lose World Cup semi-final

Watch: Highlights of UK Armed Forces v Fiji in the Forces World Cup semi-final.

The UK Armed Forces rugby union team have been beaten in the semi-final of the Forces World Cup.

A 41-29 defeat saw UKAF struggle against some Fijian muscle and magical footwork as the reigning champions shone in France.

The British side, who were rocked by the death of one of their own players this week, Able Seaman Steffan Rees, scored twice through James Roberts and Solo Radianirova.

However, a flurry of Fijian attacks in the final ten minutes put the game out of sight despite a red card for the men in white.

Fiji will now play in next week's final where they look to retain their title for a third straight tournament while UKAF will contest the third-place matchup.
