RAF's Carys Williams-Morris receives full-time professional contract with Welsh Rugby Union

Royal Air Force rugby star Carys Williams-Morris has received a new full-time professional contract with the Welsh Rugby Union ahead of the WXV tournament in New Zealand in October.
Flying Officer Williams-Morris's full-time contract with the WRU is in partnership with the RAF, due to her elite athlete status within the Royal Air Force.
She is one of seven players announced with new full-time contracts as the Welsh squad now enter the 2023/24 campaign with 32 full-time professionals.
Fg Off Williams-Morris holds eight caps with the Welsh Rugby Union, including appearances at the 2022 Women's Rugby World Cup and the 2023 TikTok Women's Six Nations.
She took a break from Wales' Six Nations campaign to play for the RAF at their Inter Services clash against the Army, where she scored the RAF's only try.
Also announced with a new full-time professional contract is Swansea-born Kate Williams, who served as a Warfare Officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy before she was spotted playing for the Kiwi Defence Force at last year's Women's International Defence Rugby Competition, which resulted in her Welsh Rugby Union call-up.
The Welsh women will face the USA at Stadiwm CSM in Colwyn Bay on 30 September before heading out to New Zealand for the Women's XV rugby tournament, WXV 2023.
