Rugby Union: Army kick off 2022 with dominant Wasps victory

The Army have kicked off 2022 with a comfortable win over a Wasps amateur team in Aldershot.

They ran in 12 tries unopposed with Bethan Dainton taking the headlines with four tries.

The 66-0 victory gives the Army momentum heading into the Inter Services.

A convincing first-half performance set the Army up for victory as they led 46-0 at the break.

Charlotte Tweddle, Asinate Kasowaqa and Beth Gilbert had joined Dainton on the scoresheet in the first period.

Gemma Pearson and Jade Mullen were among the scorers in the second half as the military side proved to be too much for their amateur opponents.
