Trylights: Best of British Army, RAF and Royal Navy at 2015 Forces World Cup

Watch: Look back at the best tries of the 2015 International Defence Rugby Competition.

After a successful inaugural IDRC in 2011, the UK hosted the tournament in 2015 to run throughout October alongside the Rugby World Cup.

The British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force played host for the pool matches in Portsmouth, Aldershot and RAF Halton, before the semi-finals and the final were hosted at The Stoop, home of the Harlequins, during the week of the Rugby World Cup final.

This was also the last International Defence Rugby Competition tournament that the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force played as separate teams before they would join forces as a UK Armed Forces for the 2019 tournament.

Tonga would go on to win the tournament in 2015 after a commanding 30-10 win against the British Army in the final.

Some memorable tries from the tournament included the British Army's Chris Latham against France, where he kicked the ball toward the try line before sprinting past his French rivals to dive the ball over the line for a spectacular try.

The Royal Navy's Ben Chambers adopted a similar tactic against Japan, dodging his Japanese rivals to kick the ball toward the try line to bag a try for the Navy.

Rob Bell of the Royal Air Force scrapped his way to the try line against Tonga, forcing his way through the Tongan pile-on to score a try for the light blues.

Every match featuring the UK team will be shown live on the Forces News YouTube channel and on catch up on BFBS TV.
