The UK Armed Forces women's rugby union team have progressed into the final of the Plate tournament at the International Defence Rugby Competition in New Zealand.

A 91-5 dismantling of Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea was UKAF's first win of the historic first-ever female tournament.

UKAF were knocked out of the main competition after defeats to Australia and New Zealand.

However, a dominant display in their third match sets them up for a Plate final against Tonga on 25 October.
