There will be three British servicemen competing in bobsleigh at the Winter Olympics in Beijing next month.

The Army's Nick Gleeson, of the Parachute Regiment, will be Brad Hall's brakeman in the GB two-man race, while Royal Marine Taylor Lawrence will join Gleeson, Greg Cackett and Hall in the four-man race.

The RAF's Shanwayne Stephens has also qualified for the event as part of the Jamaica team.

It could have been four military stars competing but GB and Army star Lamin Deen, of the Grenadier Guards, failed to qualify alongside former Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford.

The Bobsleigh events at the 2022 Winter Olympics are scheduled for 13 February to 20 February.
