More than 170,000 spectators watched on as the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) returned after a two-year break.

Royal Air Force aircraft and aviators put on a show for fans at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

This saw the Red Arrows conduct a formation flypast and the Voyager aircraft showing off its distinctive Union Flag livery.

The event included a packed programme of displays from both UK and international aircraft, with more than 35 different air forces bringing aircraft to the show.
