As 2024 draws to a close, stunning images of the Armed Forces are being celebrated to reflect on a memorable 12 months for personnel.
Throughout this year, members of the Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force have never failed to do their duty and acted on behalf of the nation worldwide – while creating some impressive pictures along the way.
From marching through London on Remembrance Day, welcoming foreign heads of state, training members of the Ukrainian armed forces and conducting operations all over the world – 2024 has been a very successful year for the military.
Chief of the Defence Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin said: "Our photographers are foremost sailors, soldiers, and aviators who, through their skill and creativity behind the camera, make a huge contribution to the way the British Armed Forces engage with the nation and with the world.
"The versatility of our Armed Forces and the range of duties we fulfil is more than evident in this year's collection.
"No other part of government contributes more to our nation as the Ministry of Defence: through defence and security but also in support of diplomacy and development, exports and trade, jobs and apprenticeships, and as a force for social mobility and national cohesion.
"These pictures are testament to the immeasurable value we deliver every single day."
