The story behind this famous photograph of the Falklands conflict

The image many associate with the Falklands War is that of 'the Yomper'.

Taken by Pete Holdgate, deployed to the Falklands as the photographer for 3 Commando Brigade, the picture shows Corporal Robinson, 45 Commando, yomping to Port Stanley with a Union Flag flying from his radio antenna.

Having made the front cover of British papers at the time, the image has since been turned into a statue and has been replicated in paintings across the UK.
