Big Vehicles Causing Big Changes In Aldershot

Some of the British Army's largest vehicles are causing big changes in Aldershot.

The garrison town is now home to two mechanised infantry battalions, and the arrival of their huge Ridgeback and Mastiff vehicles has meant some roads have had to be permanently closed.

It's part of the Army 2020 reforms, which have seen 4 RIFLES and 1st Battalion Scots Guards move to Aldershot.

Designed for the wide, open spaces of Afghanistan, the vehicles are now being used for driver training in the town.

And perhaps unsurprisingly, the Army don't want unsuspecting members of the public inadvertently coming across one in the dead of night...
