Father Christmas, the Super Mario brothers and the dynamic duo of Batman and Robin have taken to the tarmac for the military's first ever soapbox derby.
The first challenge for five competing crews from 3 RIFLES was to build wooden carts with working steering and brakes.
The drivers then had to negotiate a steep hill, three chicanes and speed bumps - but it didn't always go to plan.
After three heats it was a close call, but in the end second place went to 'A Company' - with 'C Company' taking the title.
