Almost 200 medics, healthcare workers, students and cadets have been getting a flavour of the forces in 201 Field Hospital's 'Exercise Medical Challenge'.
Teams are tested in scenarios ranging from river rescues to minestrike incidents.
The contest has proven so successful in recruiting healthcare professionals into the reserves, it may be rolled out throughout the North East.
