Horse-Mad Forces Couple Get Married Life Off To Winning Start

Think of a day at the races and smart hats, champagne and even the odd flutter with the bookies comes to mind.

But for Army doctor Major Chris Baird-Clarke, a racecourse in Scotland has just taken on a very new meaning.

He and his new bride have got married life off to a winning start with a gallop across Musselburgh Racecourse as part of their wedding day celebrations.

Maj Baird-Clarke and his bride Shelley tied the knot at the East Lothian racecourse while astride his Arabian horse, and her Irish Draught.

It's believed to be the first wedding of its type held in Scotland.
