In Pictures: Paras Earn Spanish Jump Wings On Exercise
What could be more fun than jumping out of an aeroplane? Why, jumping out as part of an international training force, of course.
C Company, 3rd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment have been doing just that.

They're in Spain for two weeks on Exercise Listed Paratrooper.

Primarily, it's designed to test British and Spanish troops on a range of skills, from marksmanship to platoon and company-level tactics.

The soldiers are also reinforcing their shared bond of airborne brotherhood and opening the way for parachutists from both nations to conduct further joint training jumps.

They could potentially deploy on future operations together.

Those British paratroopers successful in completing a descent from a CH47 will be awarded their Spanish jump wings.
A ceremony will take place at the end of the week ahead of the tactical phase of the exercise.

3 PARA is part of 16 Air Assault Brigade, the British Army's airborne rapid-reaction force, trained and equipped to deploy by parachute, helicopter, and air landing.
They're able to conduct operations worldwide at short notice on a full spectrum of missions, from non-combatant evacuations to warfighting.
