The Wall Paintings Giving A Glimpse Into WWII Life

Wall paintings hidden for years beneath the plaster of a German couple’s front room are giving a rare glimpse into the life of British occupation troops at the end of the Second World War.
 
The images in the house near the Dutch border were first uncovered during renovation work 17 years ago.
 
The building had been commandeered by British troops in April 1945.
