HMS Diamond arrives in Greenwich to support King Charles' coronation

A Royal Navy destroyer has arrived in London to support the coronation of King Charles.

HMS Diamond arrived in Greenwich, where she will be alongside hosting a variety of VIPs and dignitaries from the Commonwealth nations.

Standing nearly as tall as Nelson's Column, the Type 45 passed through the Thames barrier on Tuesday with all 191 of her crew on board.

One of the most advanced warships in the world, HMS Diamond is the third of the Type 45 air defence destroyers.

She was escorted to her berth by the P2000 patrol vessel HMS Exploit – responsible for her force protection throughout her stay in the capital.
