In pictures: Armed Forces centre stage for King Charles III coronation

The UK's Armed Forces, alongside troops from across the Commonwealth and Overseas British Territories, have played a central role during the coronation of King Charles III.

9,000 servicemen and women from across the Armed Forces were deployed for the coronation, with 7,000 of these performing ceremonial roles.

After arriving back at the palace, Their Majesties appeared on the West Terrace of Buckingham Palace, where personnel gave a Royal Salute and the Massed Bands of His Majesty's Armed Forces played the National Anthem before giving three cheers.
